George Whitesides is the CEO and President of Virgin Galactic, the spaceflight company founded by Sir Richard Branson. With Scaled Composites, the company has developed the WhiteKnightTwo and SpaceShipTwo vehicles, based on the X Prize-winning SpaceShipOne. In his role, Whitesides is responsible for guiding all aspects of the company to commercial operation at Spaceport America in New Mexico. This includes oversight of The Spaceship Company, a joint venture with Scaled to manufacture additional vehicle sets. The company currently has deposits from over 530 individuals for its spaceflight experience.

Michael Arad’s design for the National September 11 Memorial at the World Trade Center site, titled “Reflecting Absence,” was selected by the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation from among more than 5,000 entries submitted in an international competition held in 2003. Mr. Arad joined the New York firm of Handel Architects as a Partner in April 2004 where he worked on realizing the Memorial design as a member of the firm. In 2013 his work on the Memorial was recognized with Honor Awards from the AIA and ASLA.

Dr. Richard L. Sandor is CEO of Environmental Financial Products, which specializes in inventing, designing, and developing new financial markets. EFP was the predecessor company and incubator to the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), the European Climate Exchange (ECX) and the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange (CCFE). He is a Lecturer in Law and Economics at the University of Chicago, a Visiting Fellow with the Smith School at the University of Oxford, and a Distinguished Professor of Environmental Finance at Guanghua School of Management at Peking University.
